MX Try Out

To get started in motocross takes quite a large initial financial outlay to buy kit, a bike, transport, licence, race entry fee, tools and much much more.

A lot of people start racing because their father use to race or they have friends or other family members who have a motocross bike. There are some people who just like the look of the sport and want to have a go but have no clue where to start. No matter how you first experience the thrill of motocross there is no guarantee that after spending quitea lot of money the rider will actually want to continue riding or racing motocross.

Hucklebridge Events Ltd supplies everything you need to try riding a motocross bike without the strain of the initial financial outlay. The try out takes place for 3 hrs and everything for this experience is provided including a bike suitable for the rider, full protective clothing, an ACU qualified commercial coach, emergency first aid qualified person on site at all times, fuel for the bike, a private and comfortable area to get changedin and full insurance cover.

Assessment

To enable the rider to reach a level where he or she is competent at riding the bike the try out is structured using an assessment. The assessment enables the rider to go to a race event and be competent to ride without having to carry out the assessment on race day, with the possibility of not passing and not being able to race. The rider is presented with a certificate which they can take to the race event. Marks telephone number is on this certificate in case a club wishes to ask any further questions, a list of qualified riders will also be displayed on www.hucklebridgeeventsltd.com The rider assessment has been checked by a motocross insurance provider.

Venue

The try outs are carried out at Star Farm MX track which is situated just off of the A420 between Bath and Chippenham in Wiltshire. The track is in the vancinity of a venue which has buildings housing toilets and a resturant. The track is laied out in several sections to cater for all types of riders. It includes a flat novice and learner track then progresses to a seasonal field which houses a race track, for the more competent rider the third part of the track is a supercross style layout with safe jumps and a set of whoops. The try outs can be taken to other venues on request and at an additional cost.

Cost

The cost of the MX Try Out is £150 for a three hour fun and relaxed session with everything provided including an ACU affiliated coach to guide you into your new hobby.

There is a second option for the rider providing their own kit which would then cost £140 for three hours.

The third option is for those riders who already racebut wish to try a Kawasaki if they are looking to buy a new bike or move into a different group. This option is only available on production of a motocross licence, it only lasts one hour and the rider will not be assessed or taught any aspects of riding. If the rider provides all their own race kit the cost is £60 if we provide kit for them the cost is then £70.
